Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop music
boy group that formed in 2009. The group is comprised of Kendall Schmidt, James
Maslow and Logan Henderson. In 2009, they signed with Nick Records before
moving to Columbia Records. The group appeared in Nickelodeon’s television
series Big Time Rush. The show aired from November 28th the 29th of 2009 to
July 25, 2013. The pilot episode showcased the group's first promotional
single, "Big Time Rush". The group has released three studio albums:
BTR in 2010, Elevate in 2011, and 24/Seven in 2013. In 2014, the group took an
indefinite break which lasted until 2021. The group then resumed live shows and
then released "Call it Like I See The Album". Nickelodeon signed Big
Time Rush to an album deal in 2009 alongside its TV series, Big Time Rush. In
the following year, Nickelodeon partnered with Columbia/Epic Label Group to
create the show, and also to add original music that was used in the show. The
first single of the series, "Big Time Rush" came out on November 29,
2009. Officially announced by Nickelodeon in November 2009, the show was aired
for the first time in the US. It was then released internationally. It was
featured in a preview of the series for an hour, and it is the opening song of
the show. The show also saw release of promotional singles, including
"City is Ours" and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush also
performed the Play song called "Famous". The song debuted on iTunes
on June 29th in 2010. Following the premiere of the series, another song,
"Halfway There", was made available on iTunes on April 27, 2010. The
track quickly became the first song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Due to
the sales of digital music, it reached number 93. To launch their debut album,
Big Time Rush released "Till I Forget about You" on September 21st,
2010. The album, BTR was released on October 11 10th, 2010. The album debuted
at number 3 on the Billboard 200, selling 67,000 copies in its first week of
release.
