Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis, an actor and musician, is well-known for his tough-edged roles or smart characters in action movies. In total, he's appeared in films with a budget in excess of $2.5 billion USD. Walter Bruce Willis, a West German actor, was born in Idar–Obersteinin West Germany on March 19 1955 to Marlene Kassel (from Carneys Point), and David Andrew Willis (from New Jersey), who lived on a military base within the United States. His family moved to the U.S. shortly after he was born, and he was raised in Penns Grove, New Jersey where his mother was employed in a bank, while his father was a welder as well as a factory worker. Willis was an avid drama fan during his high school. While working at an New York City cafĂ©, he was allegedly "discovered". Then, he began to appear in a handful of off-Broadway productions. When he was bartending it was discovered that he was spotted by a casting director who liked his style and wanted bartenders for a minor movie part. Willis was part of countless auditions before being cast in the cult romantic comedy, Moonlighting (1985), as David Addison. His humorous and wisecracking P.I. His humor-filled and wisecracking P.I. is often regarded as a test for his role as John McClane, the hardboiled NYC detective in Die Hard (1988), in which Willis combat a gang of brutal international thieves at the top of a Los Angeles skyscraper. The sequel, Die Hard 2 (1990) Willis reprised his character in the role of McClane. The story was set in Washington's Dulles International Airport where a group of rebellious Special Forces soldiers are trying to get back a corrupt South American general. The sequel, Die hard with the vengeance (1995), was a success. It starred Samuel L. Jackson as an unrepentant Harlem shop owner who has to join forces with McClane in a terrorist attack during a hot New York day.
